Default turbo after run pump question

Does the turbo after run pump only come on when the engine is off, or does it run continually while the engine runs, and periodically afterwards until the coolant has cooled? The reason I ask is that I'm a little concerned about direction of flow. It seems that the S2 has the direction flowing opposite to the 200, if you look at the routing of the hoses. I have routed mine as per the S2. This leads me to believe that direction of flow isn't an issue, but there's always the chance that the S2's pump is wired in reverse to that of the 200, thereby reversing the pump direction. In short, I just don't want to be opposing the flow between the main water pump and the turbo cooling pump!

Default The UrS car after run pump ONLY runs after the car....

is turned off and only then when the coolant temps are high enough. In moderate climates, this means the after run pump doesn't come on until a really hot day and then only if you've been boogyin'.

Direction? Can't help there. Sorry.

Default Bought my car a month ago..

And it hasn't run yet.

I remember on my father's old '86 cs turbo that it would run all the time.

I shorted the wires to the sender and sure enough it works. I guess it just hasn't been cold enough in NY.

Default Mine always runs

Drive car to work, remove key, listen to faint glug, glug, glug..
Drive home, remove key, listen to faint glug, glug, glug..

It's not exactly warm here either.. ~ 8 C
Engine temp never goes above 90 C

It hasn't run the battery flat yet, so I'm not sure if there is a fault somewhere..

Default Not sure the glug, glug sound is what you think it is....

I usually hear that sound when the after-run pump is not running after I turn off the car and the coolant is sort of bubbling/gluging? You can feel the hoses and feel it too. But once the AR pump comes on it goes away.
