upgrades question ( will sound noobish ..cause i am)
ive been eying the 4500$ upgrade package at the site in the link for a bit now and i was just wondering:
a)is that a good price for those parts all together
b) if i do get this package will i NEED a chip as well .. or anything else as a mater of fact so the car will run fine
c) anyone whos done it or had it done .. is it hard to install these parts on your own ?
also listening to suggestions for other upgrades that shouold take place before RS2'ing
thanks a bunch.. this probably wont be happening for a while but i just wanted to see what im getting myself into

http://www.euro-audi-parts.com/Eurobitsrs2engine.html</a

You will need software along with the package. I don't know if a lot of people are running the cam, probably not worthwhile for most. The kit would be sweet, but there are definitely some money-saving options.
After working out any existing issues, I would suggest going "Stage 1" on suspension (springs and shocks), brakes (ECS or BIRA-type front kit), at least good summer rubber (maybe 17x8 rims), and a chip on the stock motor (~275 chp). That will buy you pretty well balanced performance. Then think about RS2 or beyond if desired, and the car is otherwise well sorted.

2nd... don't make the same mistake I did... Get brakes first!!
belive me, in the long run you'll be glad you did.
I know... you want to go faster, but like dave said above fix all of the little stuff first, then do brakes or suspension first. If you need to go fast 130+ just remove the stock speed limiter... besides, it won't cost anything.

out of the "full engine package" you don't need several parts
the MAF is unnecessary, as well as the fuel pressure regulator and injector. Use Racetronix Delphi 37 lb injectors and the stock fuel pressure regulator works.
aside from that, you need to get brakes/suspension and fixing non-performance issues.
