Default Wheel well plastic...

I am looking for the driver side wheel well plastic for a 1993 S4. I put louvers in mine, but I would like to prevent road salt from possibly damaging my intercooler. Anyone?

Default I wrote up the Frankenliner procedure at UrS4.com. If you put the louvers...

in correctly, i.e. opening down, you shouldn't get much, if any, spray coming in from the wheel well (there should be air coming out of the louvers). Anyway, why aren't you worried about all the salty road spray that the intercooler is ingesting anytime you a following somebody on a salted road? That would be your real problem. Fortunately, there isn't too much of an effect - some surface corrosion. You should worry more about corroding all your suspension bolts. They're iron-based not aluminum-based like the intercooler.

Bottomline: I wouldn't worry about it. But hey, someone out there is bound to disagree with me.

Good point. The front of my car ends up looking like I was at work in a salt mine anyway.
