Wow, I didn't know UrS4s were built in Neckarsulm, and not Ingolstadt.

Check the Monster Survey results at UrS4.com. Its the old NSU plant where they built...
the Wankel powered Ro80 (a car that was way ahead of its time). They also built at least the early Porsche 924's there (which were actually going to be an Audi/VW sports car at one point). The 924 engine was actually a VW/Audi truck engine (and that's why they performed as poorly as they did). So it wouldn't be a surprize that at least some Audis were built there. Its like some early Camaros were built in California not Detroit (or the local area). Not all VW's are built in Wolfsberg. They probably don't want all the old eggs in one basket so to speak (e.g. fire, explosion, etc).

All C-chassis (A6) and D-chassis(A8) are at Neckarsulm
As well as the A2. (is this called the A-chassis?)
The only cars built at Ingolstadt are A3's and A4's
The TT is built in Gyor Hungary.
