Audi Rings Puddle lights on 2019 Q8

I reordered a new set of lights to install. Thanks for setting me right. In defense, it was single digits cold when I was looking. I had a preconceived idea that the lights had a flange(or saw a picture?) and these lights do not have a flange since they are recessed into the opening. Very easy to pop-out and pop back in.

Not sure why you say the door cards have to be removed.
I just spent 20 minutes installing the Audi OEM lights on my Q8 that I removed from my Q7 before I traded it in. Use a thin, flat blade screwdriver to pry one side of the existing light out of the bottom of the door, disconnect the connector, plug the connector into the new logo light & snap the assembly back in.
Did this on my Q7, A4, & Q5 - exact same (extremely simple) procedure

Are all the Amazon bulbs relatively the same or do any of you know of better quality or had better experience with a particular brand. The one I saved on Amazon are . Don't know if they are any good in relation to others that are being sold just like it, but they seemed good enough.

Question for those that got the factory/port installed lights. When the door is opened, are the Rings in line with the door, or are the lights at a 90 degree from the body? The reason I ask, is the after market lights are adjustable and can be rotated to adjust between the two above angles. Can’t decide which is better and thought I would go the factory angle.

I would not. First, the parallel lighting follows the longitudinal axis of the door to provide lighting in line with the original intent of lighting your entry into the vehicle, and second, I don't see a particular advantage, esthetic or otherwise, to having the lights perpendicular to the door axis. In fact, as far as lighting, if horizontally oriented at least two of the displayed rings are on the opposite side of the door from the user, essentially wasting half of your entry illumination.

I agree with Doc H leave them at the factory parallel setting. They look great.

Quick question for anyone that knows: I read on Audi's part site that for the 2019 A6 and A7 if the car has the advanced B&O system you cannot install rear puddle lights with the logo. Does anyone here have a Q8 with the advanced B&O system and the rear lights? Just wondering if it also applies to the Q8 or of there is something special with the A6/A7 line + B&O.
