bumping this thread
I've had multiple other cars with backup cameras and the q8 is markedly dimmer, enough so that it is a safety concern to me. I understand from retom above that swapping in brighter backup bulbs is not an option--or has anyone found a workaround for this or some other solution that helps?

thanks in advance

apparently rear fogs is not a thing on 2019 Q8s--which explains why I haven't found anything that suggests I have them on my car

Some people simply installed additional light under the bumper and connected to car backup lights. As i remember well, on Q7 forum there is a thread which concerns this modification.

Edit. Found it. Post #20 and # 77 https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-...3028995/page2/

Will tapping into the existing reverse lights throw a warning on the display?

As far as I know no errors.

When I wired the single row LED strip onto my Raptor I was able to splice into the trailer hitch wiring without touching the tail light harnesses. The 8 way plug wiring is universal by definition.

The unfortunate thing is, if you tap the wiring harness for the trailer lights, the car thinks a trailer is connected and goes into tow mode.

I did the same on my TRX but my SQ8 does not have a trailer hitch package.
