Have you tried searching for the setting yourself though VAG-COM, Carista or OBD11? I bet it’s in there somewhere.

I don't have access but the dealer hooked the car up to the computer and wasn't able to make any progress.

Should be a setting in MMI.

There is only a Central Locking config setting within the MMI on the 20. There is not an Auto Lock config setting.

If you are using OBDEleven,

Module 46 - Coding - auto_lock_not_at_mmi -> Not Active.

Apply it and then you will see "Lock when driving" in Central locking. Toggle it on.

Nice, there it is. I knew it was in there.

Audi is weird like that in that they will disable, either knowingly or unknowingly, certain settings. This is identical to the lap timer setting in my S7; I had to revert to Carista to enable it so I could turn it on.

The sad thing is that the dealers shrugging their shoulders with ignorance really are clueless. It’s pathetic these people who are the supposed experts in the car won’t even take the time to learn them.

Nice! Not sure why the dealer didn't know and also not sure why this defaulted to off in the 2020s.

Now....for idiots like me...how the hell do I get obd eleven? Is this something I have to buy or can I download an app to my phone and hook it up to the car via usb?

You have to buy the OBD11 device from the company or on amazon. And you need an Android device to run the program. You also will need to pay for the pro version in order to do coding like this.
