Factory Ordered Q8 Daytona Grey
Can anyone give me an idea of when I might receive my new ride for my order that was picked up by the factory with a 1219 production week? What should I realistically expect from a date standpoint. Shipping destination is Davisville, RI. Thanks to all!

My Q8 was produced in week 0319 (Jan 19) and the ship it is on just arrived in Davisville yesterday (2/12). Mine has to keep going to Houston but my understanding is it's about another week after port arrival to your dealer - but dependent on where you are in relation to the port. For me it is looking like about 5-6 weeks after production for delivery.
If you know the date it was boat loaded you can track the boat by checking out the VW export schedule here - Die PWL Gruppe.

Looks like our cars are being built at the same time.

Time between order acceptance, production complete, & ship departure can vary greatly (mine sat at the factory after production & at Emden for an unusually long period - of course it was over Christmas). If you want to be a pest you can keep requesting updated Comm# reports from your dealer or at least have him notify you when a ship number is assigned. Then you can pretty accurately track it to Houston. Shouldn't take a full week from Houston just to San Antonio. Mine made it to Chicago in about four days (as did my Q7, A4, & Q5).
FWIW my Daytona Gray was "Production Complete" on 12/18/18 & arrived at my dealer on 02/02/19. The original ETA at the dealer was 3/7 to 3/21 so as you can see, even with the holidays, it was considerably early. You can have your dealer sign you up for the "Owner in Waiting" e-mails but I've found that program pretty much useless - hit & miss & not accurate.

Mine arrived at the port in Houston in the early morning hours of 2-13-19. It arrived at the dealership today or last night. Original production week was 0419. My original "dealer delivery" Date range was 3/18/19 to 04/07/19. I don't have my most recent order detail sheet that I got from the dealership but these are the dates from when the order was placed.

Chiclet that email you got. How did you get those dates? The only emails I've been receiving are when the car has reached various milestones. For example, I just got an email yesterday saying that mine is scheduled to be built.
But I think there's a way to check it via Comm #, right?
