I’m not sure is this forum still alive, but for those who are still looking for this answer, I own Audi a6 50TDI C8 and recently I found out that if you:
let your engine run lil,
turn on sport mode,
turn off fully or switch ESC to sport,
have a full stop,
align steering wheel straight,
press brake pedal and floor the gas pedal,
You should get a notification on your dashboard, which will say: Launch control programme: Activated
