Oil sensor issue?
I had the oil changed on our 2019 Q8 in August. About three weeks later a warning light came on that said there was too much oil, remove some. Went back to the indy shop and they removed a little oil and the warning light went away. Three weeks later, the warning light is back, same issue. My guess is the sensor is bad. Anyone else run into this? Thanks.

It could be the oil level sensor, but it would be good to see a sample of the oil from the oil pan before you decide to replace it. There is a (small) risk that fuel or coolant gets into the oil and increases its volume. Replacing the oil level sensor is not complicated, but requires draining the oil because the sensor is screwed into the oil pan.
The sensor itself is not expensive. Part number 06M907660A

Had the same issue last year. Oil changed on August, two weeks later it said there was too much oil. I waited for a whole week and it didn't disappear. Went to the dealer, they removed some oil. And the warning was gone. They said the oil level sensor in Q8 is quite sensitive.

It is incredibly sensitive, and yes reads to .XX% (IIRC, or .X%) . For example, 104.62% of capacity. OBD11 -> Engine.
