SQ8 Brake Pads?

Yes I did mine. Took about 90 min going slowly with using floor jacks. If I had my old 2 post lift it would have taken maybe an hour. Watch a couple videos and save yourself $1000 to use towards the IE tune!!!

Did a quick wash of the car today. Originally I had coated the wheels with ceramic right out of the box, and wondered if the ceramic coating was a hoax because the dust from the factory pads seemed to stick like molasses to the surface. There would also be thick black sticky grunge completely ingrained into the wash mitts and brushes. Today washing was a breeze! Hardly any soil on the wheels, no pools of black water pooling under the wheels from washing. This is unbelievably better!

The stopping power is the same or better. The initial bite especially once you get heat into the pads and rotors is pretty aggressive, but most ceramic pads respond better wihen warmer. This now is producing less dust than the PCCB units on my 992 Turbo S

From my experience with 12 BMWS , changing to ceramic pads always improved braking and massively reduced dust , we bought the first Kia Stinger when they into'd it , it had Brembo ceramics which were great as well.....................the Autorock shipment tracking says my pads have arrived in Vancouver and will be delivered to the house Monday ..............Happy Easter to me !

But where did the dust go? After all, the pads must be worn out every time you brake, otherwise if the pads don’t wear off, does that mean the brake discs are worn out? Or am I somehow misunderstanding the physics of the process?

the non metallic pads that use ceramic material don't accumulate and adhere to everything. There is always wearing of the pad material but it just flies away into the air so to speak instead of sticking to the wheel
