Audi R8 or Ferrari 360? What would you choose?

F%@$ waiting. Life is short.
430's will be a long time in the upper 100's. They are not even dipping below 200k yet. In fact, it would almost be worth it to keep your slot for the R8 and buy the 360 now. Then just trade when the R8 comes in, or sell the one you don't want.

For the price range you're talking about you might consider an 04-05 Gallardo
As much as I love the 355 and 360 styling, the Gallardo always catches my eye. I was driving behind a black Gallardo a few weeks ago and it sounded awesome.

2nd that
one of the guys that parks a few spots from my 911 had a gallardo. I thought that was a great car. Unfortunately he moved on and traded it in for a murcielago (I'm not as fond of that one)

Re: r8, the 360 is one of the biggest POSes in the world. Get a 355 instead.
I'm surprised you suggest the F355. I dumped mine...big disappointment...for the price, a very disappointing interior appointment, boring front view (who likes pop-up headlamps?... looks like cheap Corvette trash)...troublesome 2nd to 3rd shift (did Ferrari ever fix that?)and $7,500 tune-ups every 15K miles...which I believed we corrected in the 360 with chain drive vs rubber belts.
I'm waiting for my name to get to the top for my R8. Meanwhile I picked up an '07 Cayman S. What a hoot...this is fun machine...needs more low end torque though...but then, it's only half the price of the R8...

Re: R8 no doubt
I have no driven the R8 yet. There are no demo and hopefully my wait will be over soon. My dealer said there is a chance for Mar delivery but could be as late as June...
I have ridden in the 360 but have not driven one. Gives me a headache afterwards!!!

Many think the 355 is the best looking Ferrari ever made.
Just like the R8, it is all in the eye of the beholder.
But the 355 is not really a head to head comparison with the R8. It is much less expensive (65-85k) and is more of a Tifosi's Ferrari - that is to say it has its huge pluses (engine noise) and its hidden flaws.
The 360 is much more of an apples to apples with the R8, and there is simply no right or wrong answer!
I got another look at my buddies 360 today. It is simply a beautiful creation.
