so they will be calling the V10 version an "RS8" and not an "R10"?
seems R10 would be more appropriate because it would still tie the road car's name to motorsports by using a winning Audi race car's namesake.

nope. R10 would indicate a completely different model.
RS8 would be more likely.
though, and you heard it here first, the V10 R8 will be also be called R8, it'll simply have a different engine.

Also on the naming since the big sedan's performance=S8 and high performane should be RS8 then the performance R8 should be dubbed SR8 and the high performance the RSR8 make sense?
