You might find this interesting. Any production car that cracks 8 min is very fast - there's a "weight reduced" RS4 which did so - you can see where the Z06, GT3 and 997tt fall. What's the going word about the R8's time? I think I heard about 7 min 50 secs? Is that right?

Some of those times are suspect. Here is a better list as it's all done by the same driver...
