Ok,
New A4 1.8T Avant owner. Very happy with the car, but BADLY NEED to upgrade stereo. Have a set of BA 6 Rally's, a Phoenix Gold ZX450 and a single JL 12W3 that will be migrating my A4. I had the BA's installed in the doors of my '91 Acura Legend Coupe and loved the depth of the soundstage they created.

First option: Install 4" components in the front doors then put the 6" Rally separates in the rear doors.

Second option: Install 5 1/4" components instead of 4".

Third option: Attempt to squeeze the 6" Rally's in the front door.

Any comments?

Has anyone made their own front door adapters? I have seen a couple of posts regarding rear door adapters, but nothing for the front door. I am thinking I am going to make some for the rear door so I might as well be making them for the front door too. Just wanted to get some insight.
