can anyone suggest a quality aftermarket cd stereo for my '96 A4? I want the led color on the aftermarket to match the red led's in the existing stereo. Thanks much!

Kenwood eXcelon, Blaupunkt Nevada, or Sony Explod, Of the three, Kenwood and Blau are the closest. I have the Kenwood and the red buttons look like they were designed specifically for this car... that's how close a match it is!.... but the graphics display is blue, however it really blends well. Other brands have red/amber color displays that don't match the Audi red all that well... they'd be more orange.

Depending on what other features and sound quality you are looking for... i.e. 4-volt output, extra pre-outs for external amp subwoofer pre-out, etc etc.. some choices will be better than others aside from the color.
