Hey everyone! New to the Audi world and trying to figure out what cables I need to work with Audi MMI port in glovebox. Have a 2015 Q7 for reference.

I bought the Audi OEM MMI > USB Female connector PN - 4F0051510G

I went this route figuring I would be able to use any OEM Apple cable to attach my various Apple products without having to buy individual 30pin and Lightning Audi cables. Also thought it would allow me attach cables so I had a bit of extra length so the devices could live outside of the glovebox.

I am trying to connect some older iPods, the classic models, and while the Audi USB cable charges the iPods, the display is saying "Not Connected."

I also tried using a Lightning Cable to attach my iPhone 6s and again, while it charges, it doesn't even show up as anything in the MMI screen.

Can anyone share their insights? Do I have to go 30pin to get the music to work on the iPod classics? That is my biggest concern as my wife is old school and will NOT give these things up.

Any help is much appreciated.
