Default Right. That's why I went to 6.5s. Now, I'm thinking about rebuilding the door panel to hold

2 6.5s" in each door. I said I didn't want to get too much into Audio in this car.....but every time I get in my folks 02 STS....I can't help but want even more upfront bass.

Default I think there are some EQs that have switchable illumination.

Check Alpine, Eclipse, and AudioControl. A 1/2 DIN unit will fit if you replace an OEM double-DIN unit with a single-DIN aftermarket head unit. Otherwise, you might try locating it in the ashtray location or next to the parking brake. I entertained the idea of putting one in the spot for the OEM pen (next to the driver's seat), but decided against it.

FWIW, I have an Alpine 1/2 DIN EQ for sale. It has only green illumination, but it's very effective. I'll let it go pretty cheap. Email me if interested.

Default Check this out.

Peter Lufrano's The Autophile website <url src="http://www.theautophile.com/products/BraxNavFrame.html"> has some door panels for Audis that hold two 6 1/2" woofers.

Check out the product descriptions:<ul><li><a href="http://www.theautophile.com/products/AllPanels.pdf">http://www.theautophile.com/products/AllPanels.pdf</a</li></ul>

Default I went to the web page and found pic of those things installed

They look sweet!

I e-mailed to see how much they are. They come in 12 colors!

I bet they cost a fortune.<ul><li><a href="http://www.theautophile.com/products/BraxNavFrame.html">http://www.theautophile.com/products/BraxNavFrame.html</a</li></ul>

Default I found some more.

A company called cascade audio claims it is the only importer of Jehnert door panels. Supposedly "100 OEM Fit Assured"

I bet these cost a ton too. Funny though, the company is in Eastern Oregon. I live in Western Oregon. It is only a few hours drive.
