Best place to run power cable through firewall?
[I know this has been asked before...sorry.]
I'll be hooking up my Infinity Basslink this weekend. Where's the best place to run the power? Maybe through the gromet behind the ECU? Or drill a hole next to the throttle cable like Mark P did? Any other suggestions?
Also, where should I run the power cable for the least amount of noise? Down the driver's side, or down the center? Thanks.

Use the gromet next to the Master Cylinder
run the power wires along the driver's side, and when you remove the rear seat, loosen the one seatbelt bolt and attach the ground there (no noise). How are you going to to the sound hookup for the Basslink? RCA, or what. I need help determining how to do a friend's. We currently hooked it through the speaker wires supplied by Infinity and soldiered the wires to the speaker terminals. The only problem with that was when the sub was off, there was resonnance from the speakers causing a loud hummmmm. When the stereo was on it sounded great, so you help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

humm...
Was the humm problem with Phillip Krnjeu's installation?
He asked me about that and I suggested the next time he heard it, unplug the Basslink speaker level input pluug and see if it disappears to help isolate the source.
I have the same hookup and have absolutely no problem... whatever is going on isnt systemic, he has something unique happening.
