Is this the Blau Adapter one needs to easily convert the Bose HU on a B5 to preamp? Also
if I want 2 preamp outputs, do I need 2 (front and rear)?

No that's an AUX input lead, you need the yellow adapter with 2 pairs of RCA's

Is this the same thing? Looks to be, but part number is different.
