Default can someone help me find a head unit... please?

it should be easy...

all i want is something that's xm capable, plays mp3's, and illuminates either red or white (or any combination of the above).

on top of that being nearly impossible to find as is, it needs to fit in the tt's radio recess.

this seems to be like looking for bigfoot...

Default You'll need an adapter plate anyway....

or are you talking about depth. Since you already have a separate XM receiver.. you might just want to go with something with an auxillary in. Otherwise.. I would go pioneer premier for your needs.

Default i'd considered pioneer, but the color isn't quite right...

that may be the way i end up going.

in any case, the problem is that when the faces flip down, the way many of them move, they'd bottom out on the bottom of the radio recess...

it's hard to explain, but if you look at some of the newer head units, you'd be able to see exactly what i was talking about.

i need to go to a pioneer retailer to see how they move and what they look like when they're illuminated.

Default I know what you mean.. the widefaced ones...

I was going to suggest Kenwood which is a perfect match.. but they're sirius... BUT.. you can use the auxillary ins. Also.. try Eclipse.. you'd be suprised how much their prices have dropped.

Default Sirius is better than XM anyway, and the Clarion HU rocks!

I have a DXZ835MP in my B6, I could not be any happier. http://members.sounddomain.com/gtakacs

You can surely cancel your XM subscription and get something without commercials ***cough*** sirius ***cough*** and a decent color match.

BTW, when I was looking for a nice stereo for my A4 The Clarion HU was the only one I could find that looked half decent and matched the colors. All others were like "bling bling, lookie here, I'm a teenager blowing money on flashy crap" and didn't match the colors at all.

Default not a fan of the amber. =/

my delphi unit illuminates amber. it bothers me to the point that i'm about to rip it apart and change the orange film to red and change the light in there to a red one.

i don't know why they didn't just make the buttons go red...
