CD changer install question

CD changer install question
just bought a 97 A4 2.8 and would like to put in a changer. My understanding is it's pre-wired. Do I have to get a particular changer to be compatible or can I get any 6-10 disc changer and be good?

Depends on which stereo you've got...
The newer ones, the Symphony (for sure) and the Concert use Panasonic CD-Changers. Crutchfield even sells a kit that comes with the adapter and the CD-Changer. The older stereo used an Alpine unit though... not sure about the availablity of adapters for that one.

I think the Delta takes the Alpine unit... ya might call Crutchfield and see what they think...
Then try and find the unit somewhere else... I'm not even sure if CF sells Alpine gear but they might be able to give you an idea of what adapter you'd need.
