CD Changer not working!!!
Ok, I did a search on this but I do not want to believe to what I found out since my car is out of warranty and I am selling my car.
I have a CDERR1 coming up on all the 6 CDs. The CDs are clean, I tried different cartridges and I checked the connection of the CD Changer. I have the Bose option on my 98.5 A4.
The search revealed a possible head unit change but I do not even want to think of that possibility. How much a new one runs for? Thanks alot for all the answers.

Gotta yank the changer
Now, I'm going from the installation info on my Panasonic CX-DP88 8-disc CD changer. The changer has to be removed (was pretty obvious on my Avant; a bracket holds the changer in place that is pulled in combo by undoing 3 obvious screws). You might also have to pull the changer out of the holding bracket to access the adjsuting screws.
There was an adjusting screw on either side of the changer; you have to rotate them to a position based on how the unit will be mounted. I am assuming there are marks by the screw positions; "H" means the screw position for horizontal mounting, "V" for vertical mounting.
I don't know why they might have moved, but it can't hurt to check them.
