Default Interesting.

I'd consider Morel Elates or Dynes...

Default I've been there - that's where I heard about DLS the first time.

Since I didn't mention Rainbows, I guess that's not exactly true.

Default Interesting mix. The RE XXX is known is an SPL sub.

Is that what you're going for? Doesn't seem like it since you're going with Audison amps. Another suggestion is trying to run the LRx 4.300 in 4 channel mode and run the Rainbows active instead of with the passive crossovers. Of course, it only helps if you can adjust the crossovers for the mid and tweeter so you'll need to have bandpass capability on two of those channels. If you can do it, it adds a lot of flexibility in tuning. The Audisons are nice amps though. I wanted to get two VRx amps before I got what I have now but I just couldn't find them anywhere.

Default I guess it depends on how you build the enclosure. You can go 0.8 cu ft sealed according to RE.

Or you can go 2.1 cu ft ported. I would think the sealed would probably be the way to go but it just won't be as efficient. You do have 900W to play with but the XXX can handle up to 1600W. I guess the only way to find out would be to try. IDMAX is also a good sub to go with if you're looking for a high output relatively small box sub. I don't think that one uses an enclosure as small as the XXX though. I love my DD sub but it's $$$. Probably as much or more than the XXX. Needs lots of power too but it sounds so good.

Default 9900 series is SPL. 9500 series is the SQL. 9500 retails for $750 for the 10"

I paid less than that for my 9510. They recommend vented enclosures though. My 9510 uses a 1.75 cu ft vented enclosure. See my pic poster for pictures of the enclosure molded into the side of the trunk.
