DC Offset
Throughout the summer I have been discovering some things about my install that I have not liked. I have fixed some of the problems. (Mostly just involved in the poor quality of some mp3s on my player and unplugging the rear speakers).
However, there is one things that has been puzzling me.
Whenever I turn the radio on/off (alot more noticable when turning off) I get a poping through the speakers/sub. I have been told this has to do with DC offset.(my amp does have the delay).
I have talked with Avincar and we got to that it had something to do with the RCAs coming from the HU (or thats what I understood it as).
I have tryed to do some more research online and have only come up with detailed dc offset diagrams. (cannot completely understand with the knowledge i have of car electronics).
I am planning to do some work on my car this weekend and would love to get this problem fixed while I am "under the hood".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-recheck all the wireing behind the HU...again
-possibly recrimp some connections
-possibly retape some connections
-disconnet/reconnect rcas
-check to make sure that the head units ground point is actually grounding....again
-im puttin in a new wire for the my blitzsafe adapter so i will double check everything for that too
Thats my list...nothing to technical and I am hoping (fingers crossed) that somehow my problem will be corrected.
At least I got so good things done during process...hardwire gps, put in longer aux wire and epoxy on the stuff I had previously hot glued.
***FOR EVERYONE THAT MAY HAVE AT SOME POINT USED HOT GLUE ON SPEAKER COMPONENTS IN DOORS...IT WILL NOT WORK...MINE WAS LITERALLY FALLING OFF WHEN I TOOK THE PANNELS OFF TO EPOXY THEM ON (2 PART EPOXY WAY TO GO).***
