Factory Alarm/Door Lock Questions (technical)...
I have the wiring schematics for the factory alarm system, but I would like the vacuum hose schematics and related information about the door locks and how they operate.
Without giving away the details of my project (until it's done), I want to know EXACTLY how the vacuum pump in the factory alarm works to operate the locks. Does it apply vacuum to lock and pressure to unlock (or reverse)? How does it open the driver door and gas cap first and the remaining doors second?
I opened the factory alarm and beside the vacuum pump there is what looks like a small solenoid. I'm guessing maybe this solenoid controls the direction of airflow in the two lines that are attached to the pump/alarm. Before I pull everything apart to try to figure it out, I thought I'd check here first.
Thanks, Fatima

Educated guess...
I'd say vacuum for locking... the different doors are most likely controlled by different solenoids, one activates for the driver's door, the remaining one(s) for the other doors.
