Default Help.. My Radio reception is bad with new head unit...

I just installed an Eclipse head unit with the Scosche antenna adapter. I powered it off the head unit ACC lead. It feels hotter than I think it should, but my FM reception is marginal and I can get no AM at all. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Bad antenna lead or bad antenna

My experience when the amplified antenna went in old Coupe Quattro - same symptoms (FM atrocious and AM nonexistent).

Takem another look at the antenna leads - and maybe buy the shop manual and look at the wiring diagrams.

You need to power-up the antenna amps.

Default does this usually occur even if the stock unit gets reception?

I have had a blaupunkt radio and now a premier radio that have not gotten any AM reception, and marginal FM. but each time, when i replaced the stock Deltga radio, the receptionw as great! Does this still mean i have a bad antenna lead or bad antenna?
