Default How can I fix this wierd radio noise?

I installed my iPod/ BLitzsafe yesterday, and while it seems to work just fine I noticed that when the iPod is off or on a quiet/soft song, and the radio volume is above ~9 or so, there is a very high pitched whine that gets higher as I rev the engine... What would be the cause of that? I did just sort of stuff all the wires back in there behind the radio, would it be helpful to straighten them all out? Any help appreciated... Oh and by the way this whining sound is not present in any other stereo mode (CD, radio, etc) and it doesn't go away when I unplug the iPod.

Also, my car is a 2003 A4 with 6-CD in dash changer and Bose system.

Default alternator whine? I know a few people have had this problem

I think it has to do with the grounding. Ray Khan had some issue, but I'm not sure if it was with an ipod or not. Have u tried searching?

Default my problem was using a blau adapter to turn symphony headunit line outs to RCAs

The trick is grounding. What I did was connect a wire to one RCA ground, and attach it to the headunit ground. So I just attached the RCA (that goes to the headunit) to the blau adapter and pinched the ground wire I ran to the headunit ground in between the RCA's I connected. The outer metal part of the RCA is gournd. So if you are running RCA's to your IPOD...I would try grounding from there and see if that helps.

are you saying i should take the ground from the blitzsafe adapter and pinch it into one of the RCA cables?

Default I'm not familian with the blitzsafe adapter....

where does it's ground run too? Just a guess, but try rounding the adapter ground to the headunit ground. If the problem only occured when you installed the Ipod, then it sounds like a ground problem.

Are you using a cig. lighter plug-in for the iPor power? If so, that's it.
