Looking to upgrade Bose system, looking for advice.
I'm thinking of replacing the speakers and amps and keeping the factory headunit in my '01. The subs have already blown on my Bose system after about 10 months. So rather than keep messing with them (I know its a common problem), I thought I'd just put in something better.
What would be a better-sounding system? Can I get set up for less than $1000?

I don't think there'd be a problem.
You just need a decent amp to drive the MB Quarts.
Depending on what series of MBQs you get, the budget should be enough.
