Default Need quick help with AUDIO...... PLEASE

I'm hooking up an FM modulator. It will be placed behind my stock deck. For a power source, all I can find is some constant 12v+ going into the radio. The instuctions say to wiring the power to the FM modulator from an accessory 12+ (hot wire only when key is in accessory position). Do you think it would be ok if I hooked up the modulator to a constant 12v+ source? Would that cause damage over time? If so, could you recomend a access source that is behind the stock radio? Need this ASAP please. thank you.

The purpose of hooking it up to the ACC is so that the unit turns off when the car is off. I fyou connect it to the +12V then it will always be on even when the car is off. I don't know how much current is drawn from a modulator because I've never used one but if it's not a negligible amount, you could drain your battery. Almost like leaving your lights on all the time but not quite as drastic.

Your head unit does have an ACC lead. You just have to find it.
