Purchases a 99.5 A4 with sony head unit....
the previous owner replaced the OEM head unit with some crappy sony one...anyway, the car was a bose set up. Whoever did the install did a horrible job, they ran a 1" diameter speaker wire bundle down the drivers side of the car from the head unit to the speakers. They removed the bose amp and did not hook up the speakers on the rear deck...does this seem right? What would you guys do? Should I remove their crappy wiring and use the oem wiring? How about hooking up the rear deck speakers? Right now the car has no bass and sounds like ****....any advice would be appreciated

What do you WANT to do?
I'd gut the whole thing then do a new HU, amps, speakers, etc. At least replace the Sony deck and just rewire the existing speakers. But because of how intensive this task is, I suggest just redoing the whole thing...
I worked in car audio retail for a while, and most cars with hacked Bose systems we had to entirely redo...
This probably isn't helpful, and certainly not encouraging though...
