Question for TeddyBGame
Hey Teddy,
Quick question I'm sure this was covered eaither here or navplus.us and I tried searching and got even more confused. If I buy a multimedia adapter for a Nav Plus unit which I plan on buying from Steve off Navplus.us and I buy the multimedia adapter, can I have both my ipod and an ME3 dvd player hooked up at the same time? and how about a pioneer xm unit? What would I need to achieve this.
TIA

some answers....
1) if you have a B5 A4/S4...then you only need the Dietz 1417 for A/V input into the RNS-E. Just add a toggle switch on the gala wire for video in motion.
2) Your ipod can be controlled by the RNS-E using an Icelink adaptor. They run about $150. Go to www.enfig.com. For your car, I would install the version that plugs in..in the trunk.
3) aftermarket xm: Why not just add the OEM XM tuner? you can always add a set of y-adaptor RCA cables into the 1417 to route audio from your XM tuner into your RNS-E.
just some thoughts off the top of my head. Drop me an email (with your cell#)....if you want to go further.
Good luck!
