Default Quick question about running a remote wire...............................

I wrapped the end of my remote wire around a 20amp fuse and plugged it into an unused spot in my fuse block.

Anyone see a problem with this set up for my remote wire?

TIA

Default Isn't the remote wire supposed to go

from the head unit the amplifier to send the power on signal? What are you trying to do?

Default Yes you can run it from the head unit...

it simply needs to be hooked up to a switched 12v+ wire to tell the amp to turn on and off, I am using my stock head unit so I don't have one from the unit, I had to find a different location.

anyone see a problem with this set up? It works like a charm.

Default Ok, that should work

But if you have the stock head unit, the pin with the switch symbol in the LINE-OUT section of the 20 pin connector is the remote wire for an amp. This way the amp will turn on with the head unit and not only with ignition on.
