Default Quick radio question...already searched.

I'm trying to install a powered antenna adapter. I need to tap off a 12V switched power source. There is a 7,5 Amp (I don't know what that means) fuse on the back of the radio. On the bottom is a label that reads "12 V, 4 Ohm, 7,5 A". I assume that means the fuse is 12 volts. What's the worst that could happen if I plug the adapter into the fuse?

Thanks.

Default Don't do that. The fuse is there for a reason.

Locate the switched power to your head unit and tap off of that. If you're unsure of which wire to use, search for the wire or pin diagram and it should be readily apparant. Otherwise, use the stickers on the top of your radio to determine which wire is correct. Or use a multimeter and test them.
