Default Rear wheel well space?

Does anyone know how much space is in the rear wheel wells for a 2004 A4 sedan? I saw a post that looked like a b5 was running about .7 cu ft. I am debating between a 10" or 12" Boston Acoustic Pro. Just want to see if there is 1 cu ft of space behind the covers or if I should stick with the 10" and .5 cu ft.

Default great pic, do you have any more?(MORE)

I'm curious to know if you did it or paid someone else?

I'm in the process of doing so with my car on a sub install (currently have a sealed box in the trunk, but would like to have it in the side like yours).

if you could share with me any additional infomration, I'd love to know how you put it together etc...

thx,

d

Default I want to know too! I mean the space directly ABOVE the wheel well, not...

... the space where the cubby hole is where people have typcially been putting their sub boxes.

Default Yes, I did it myself with materials bought from the local Lowes. Here's more detail on the install.

Default Here's a 2 ft^3 in my old 01 S4 with 2 10's

Default Thanks for the info

This helps alot. It does seem that it will be cleaner to stick with a 10" sub. But it does sound like there is plenty of room to house the hidden componenets (brains for Head units, XM/Sirius tuners, etc...) in front of the left side pocket above the wheel well. Now I just need to figure out were the amps need to go and where I can get matching carpet. It looks like it will be a couple weeks before I can get the install completed, but once it is I will post pics.
