a kit out there. The original radio, as you know, is like the double-DIN style. The aftermarket one is like Slim shaddy. I need an install kit to make it look nice and professional. Any recommendations please??

(Yes, I STFA but no luck.) Thx.

Default I would assume that since there was no kit for the B5s there's none for the B6s.

Gotta make a custom trim for the head unit.

Default Dash kit for you here! I'm a STFA master! :)

From Autotoys.com:

<a href="http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/product.php?productid=2465&cat=396&page=1">http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/product.php?productid=2465&amp;cat=396&amp;page=1</a>

Pics of the kit installed:

Apparently the kit is a Metra kit.. supposedly searching for Metra 99-9102 or Metra double-din Audi 2002+ on the web would yeild results, but i didn't have any luck. Maybe you can order it in from a local stereo store.

Default www.autotoys.com metra kit fits perfect and matches perfect

Look in my pic poster. That's it, with the middle cross bar cut out so it can fit my double-din unit.
You can put your single din in either a top or bottom slot and it comes with a "pocket" compartment for the slot you don't use.... or you can slide two single din's in and really filll it up nice. Or, like mine, cut out the cross bar and slide in a double din.

Default Looks like a great fit, however, the finish doesn't appear the same as the rest of the dash...

... that is, the trim doesn't look like it matches the finish of the audi cupholder/cardholer/buttons/climatecontrol. Would you agree?

Default Not at all... that's the armor all. The finish matches exact. Even the texture is exact.

No joke. After the dash was in for a few days and I cleaned/detailed the interior, it matched pefectly. All of the pics in my poster were from right after the install, before I cleaned up the rest of the interior and de-armor all'd the faceplate. Plus, digital pics pick up stuff color-wise that just aren't there sometimes, depending on the light.
I'll try to take some more pics, but I swear it's a perfect match... I could believe color, but to feel the exact same texture was awesome.

Cool... I'm picky about that stuff so it's good to know it looks perfect.
