Symphony head unit "easter eggs"
Do any of you know (or know where to find information on) all the symphony head unit "easter egg" functions?
For example: With the radio off, press and hold preset #5 and then (while still holding 5) turn the radio on. You'll see 9 digits (probably all will be 5) with the one on the left blinking. This appears to be a built in 9 band graphic equalizer. To adjust the settings turn the volume ****. To move to the next digit, press PSCAN.
Turning on the radio with preset #1 held appears to (perhaps, I'm not sure) display the actual high resolution radio tuner frequency. What use that is, I don't know.
I have heard there is a way to adjust the GALA sensitivity too. Probably through a similar hidden function.
Do any of you know what all the "easter eggs" are, and how they work?

The equalizer settings can make the Bose sound *much* better,
but like you, I would love to know what else is hiding in there. Anyone got any clues where to look? Not likely that Bose would fess up.
SVC settings are described on page 11 of the radio user's manual - this one is not undocumented like the equalizer.

Re: The equalizer settings can make the Bose sound *much* better,
This is not just a Bose feature, but a feature of the Symphony headunit. I have a non-bose Symphony and all of these functions work with it. I've been experimenting with settings other than the Eq, but have been unable to see any discernable differneces. For example, holding in #3 and powering up the radio makes SVC OBD appear on the screen while the radio plays. Pressing #4 while powering it up allows you to select between three sets of numbers (they're like 8011.4M, 8305.4D and 8459.9S (the numbers aren't accurate, they are just to show the format of the seletions). I have no idea what those are for.
If we all put our heads together, we'll figure it out!
