Default Thinking of Taking on a major Fiber Glassing Job Over Christmas, Pricing anyone?

So I have about a month long christmas break and I am thinking that its the perfect time for me to relocate my subs to the two indentions in the hatch area of my avant. This will involve fabricating two boxes out of glass. Anyone have any guestimates on how much this job might cost?

Also FYI i plan to hard wood my floors as well. i feel this will push my car into the Unique catigory (and I mean that in a good way)

TIA

Default well ill let you know how much its going to cost me to install 1 sub in the left wall by next week

was going to do the install myself by building an MDF and fiberglass combo box that would fit inside the left wall, however, I honestly dont have the time for it, so this week(or begining of next) I am taking the car to a reputable stereo shop in LA to see waht they can do for me...I will let you konw how much they quoted me etc...

cheers

Are you going to make the entire box out of fiberglass or just part?

The best source for glass kevlar and carbon fiber that I've ofund is a guy in Mustoe Virginia named John R Sweet. He has a web site involving his name but do a search and see what shakes. he sells small quantities for small builders as well as full rolls of a lot of different composite comstruction stuff. He also sells Guogeon Epoxy and regular vinylester and polyester if you're trying to get by cheap. He buys the stuff NASA and Lockheed reject but it's fine for building boats(my connection to him) and speaker boxes. I think his phone number is 540-468-2222. He pretty muvch keeps 9-5 hours. Approach him in the right way and you'll get a ton of information on composites. Tell him Max sent you.
