What's the best FM modulator? [If there is such a thing as a BEST one ;)]
I'm having no luck on finding a way to get line level inputs to my Delta head unit. So, I'm gonna use an FM modulator for now to connect a NEO MP3 player. Which one should I get? Are some better than others or are they all pretty much the same?

Also consider cassette adapters
Also consider cassette adapters only because I would think they would provide HIGHER fidelity sound. FM radio is limited to 16 kHz at the top, and probably also at the bottom. I am not aware of such limitations in cassette heads. Of course, the TAPE has noise so that washes out the high end, but the deck itself may actually be pretty good.
Of course, you have the wire hanging out of the deck ...

P.S. I've got a 30 watt FM exciter for $5000, weighs about 50 pounds. But I don't think that's the kind of modulator you had in mind, unless you're starting a new LPFM station ...

Better check your radio dial FIRST
Make sure you have a blank spot on the dial with no radio interference. Otherwise the radio station will overwhelm the FM modulator. If you get ANY crosstalk from adjacent radio station,s will wipe out the modulator signal.
I tried a little unit available at Best Buy recently (wish I could remember the name; something like SP300. Bit smaller than a cigarette pack). During times I didn't get crosstalk interference, wasn't bad performance but got an alternator whine in the signal. Also had a devil of a time getting the plug to fit snug in the Audi cigarette lighter outlet.
