I just did the fronts today with p/n TM025F13. I put these in as a friend in the high end speaker biz gave me 4 for the A6. The Bose tweeters are 4 Ohms and so are these. WOW it's so much better! The highs are now crystal clear with excellent tonality. My wife stated the difference was like taking cotton out of your ears. I had to dremel off the mounting flanges so they would fit. I had to tack glue them in place as the metal holding clamp no longer fit around the magnet. R & R of the door panels is well documented and easy. Then I just popped the little clip that holds the Bose tweeters, and replaced with the dremmeled Audax ones. Piece of cake! Sorry for the poor quality cell phone pics. My digital camera has decided to cease functioning. My stereo system is now starting to reach the the acceptable level for me without having to tear out all the Bose amplifer components (well not yet anyway).

I may be looking into some Seas Lotus components but I haven't taken off the door panel to see how I could mount them yet.

the stock Bose door tweeters are held in place with a metal retaining clip that just pops off. All I then had to do was desolder the speaker wires. The toughest part was cutting the Audax mounting flanges off with a dremmel cutter so the new tweeters were about the same diameter as the original ones. I then spot glued the remaining Audax flange to the door panel as the Audax is deeper than the Bose. There are a couple of plastic bosses on the door panel that the tweeter sits on. That is where I applied the glue. I also used some trusty duct tape to hold them in place while the glue cured. In addition the panel backing foam will also hold them in place. This was really very easy and made a huge difference in the sound of this system. I wasn't going to do this after reading several posts about changing transducers with no better performance. I knew these tweeters were so much better and if needed could fiddle with the hidden EQ codes since I have an 01. I am now set to 65558655 as the 8 really makes the I Beam I have mounted on the rear seat kick.

I am looking forward to another warm day in NH to do the rears.I am also looking forward to Boston Driver helping me R&amp;R the package shelf so I can mount the IBeam to the bottom. There's way too much vibration now from it. I think that Audi picked the rear shelf as the starting point and built the car around it.

Does anyone know if the Bose B6 A4 tweeters are 4ohm as well?
