Default XM Commander Red Lights?

Anyone with an XM Commander (or other similar device)... Has anyone considered whether its possible to change the lighting of this unit from the indigo/blue that it is as stock to red, in order to match the interior lighting of the nighttime A4? Frankly, I'm not sure what that entails, but it seems to me like if its a bunch of LED's back there or something, maybe they could be replaced with red ones... simple, or no?

Default will take some major work.....

I had a Sirius Starbase that I dissassembled for the same purpose. There wasn't really a blue filter thingy that could be changed. The blue-ness came straight from the LCD. Too bad too.

If you really want to do this...you should find yourself an electrical engineer and see if they can modify it.

Good luck!
