Why does everyone go with the Pioneer GEX-FM903XM unit anyway? Why not the Roady or the Commander?
I can get the Pioneer and the TERKS XMS antenna off Ebay used for $80. Any problem with used XM stuff getting it changed to my name?
Then I'll pick up the Blitsafe adapter. (this is going in the wife's New Beetle for Christmas BTW, not the A4) I've looked at a bunch of installs here and on other places on the web, and it doesn't look like too hard of an install with the Blitsafe adapter. One long wire run from the head unit to the trunk looks like the hardest part. So how hard on a scale of 1-10? I am average handy.

Where do you put the Pioneer unit in a Beetle - in the trunk or under the dash? At any rate, running a wire to the trunk is usually the easiest part of the installation; just tuck it under the edge of the door sill. You may have to pull the back seat to get it into the trunk.

Reactivating a used radio will be a problem if the previous owner didn't properly deactivate it by calling XM customer service.
