Default Has anyone made a custom cold air box for a pod filter?

Im thinking of having something custom made in aluminium with a pod filter to replace the stock air box.

Default !CDA!

I'm sure you can get Eurosport to make you up a nice peice of polished pipe from the turbo then just wack on a CDA with a cool air pick up piont, ram effect would be even better.

They could then make some shiny heat sheilding and you will have more zing and bling in one.

It's on my to do list right after the PES t-28 turbo upgrade.

Even with two jobs my dream A4 is out of reach, well for the next couple of years.

Electric fan kit is next (along with UDP), might as well since i'm doing the timming belt.

love the road, hug a corner...

Yeah - I considered that option- but decided I want a pod in a box.

The vic police are cracking down big time and there is this new bizarre law about running FMIC's with cone filters (dont ask me why?). Its weird!

I figure a nice custom box will hide the pod just nicely.

Default Do the CDA and just put a shiny peice of...

heat sheilding over the top maybe with some louvers? if thats how you spell it on top.

Make your own AudiOZ/Worx sticker or graphic, place on top and it will look just like a custom air box without the loss in perfomance.

How is your car doing anyway?

Heh - I might just do that!

Car is going very well.

The new software should be here later this week - then its on with the 330cc injectors and off to the dyno :-)

I'm in love with the torque at the moment - so its hard not to put the foot down, but I will wait until its fully complete before the power run.

Completley new software program, which replaces the current chip.

The current software is optimised for a KO3 with a free flow exhaust system with the PWR FMIC & N75 valve.

The new software will be optimised for the KO4 turbo and its ability to flow a greater volume of air. It again is being optimised for a free flow turbo back exhaust with a PWR FMIC, N75 valve and 330cc injectors with the stock 4 bar FPR and a VR6 mass air flow meter. (the new MAF is required due to the limitation of the stock units innability to read above 180g of air flow.)

The idea here is to optimise the KO4 as a kit for those with the other requisite mods for maximum potential.

Default You dont have to tell me about that!!

The rule is only one intake modification is allowed. This law was introduced recently. As you know, I found out the hard way.

An aftermarket intercooler, or pod filter are considered as intake modifications.

No need - Seb at Euro Automotive can do these mods also. In fact he is in the process of completing similar mods to a Golf GTI. :-)
