2nd coat of FMJ...right after the first, or wait a week after the next car wash?

By the way, the second coat on the allroad made all the streaks on the matte parts disappear. I'd
definitely always do at least 2 coats in succession on the first application.

I don't have any matte parts!
I only did one coat on the front clip last night. Oh well...took the car out today, so I guess I'll add the second coat after the next wash, and do two coats on all the other sections when I get to them.
I'm beginning to think the first part anybody should wax when taking delivery of a new car is the rear bumper and trunklid. Felt like sandpaper, and I've only had the car 6 weeks. I didn't feel like breaking out the claybar last night, so it'll have to wait.
And the S was cursing me last night...as it sat outside (dirty) while the Acura was getting TLC.

I was just making the point that 2 coats will save you from any possible streaking or
other imperfections in the first coat.
And yes, I agree, the dirtiest part of most cars is the buttocks, sir!
