Default 3000 grit

A friend of mine just got his car painted, now the guy didnt wetsand or buff the car. I plan on wetsanding with 3000 grit and im wondering what is a nice compound that will shine the car up ?

almost any mild polish should remove 3000 grit

would you advise using just a polish and a carnuba on top of it or would you reccomned a compound of some kind ?

compounds are aggressive, only go that route if you must
