Default with a polish

rubbing compound is relatively coarse stuff, usually used to get out deeper scratches, but leaving finer scratches swirlmarks itself. follow up with something lighter to get out the swirl marks.

I have some deeper scratches that menzerna IP isn't able to get out (only rated to get out 2000 grit scratches/swirl marks). I have one of the 3M rubbing compounds on the way (damn backorder), which I'll try, and probably follow up with FP (or maybe IP if FP doesn't cut it.....pun intended).

Default 3M heavy rubbing compound left the haziness... polish doesn't work

after trying 3 different polishes the haziness was a little better but it's still very visible under heavy sunlight. I guess what I'm looking for is something between a polish and a rubbing compound. Maybe I need some "light" rubbing compound if I could find it.

Default for deep clearcoat scratches, after wetsanding

i've used it for scratches in my pickup that are so deep in the clearcoat that even the 3M stuff didn't take it out completely. 600 grit helped the most.

Default Medium polish then ultra fine polish then wax,

but if you have to ask this question you probably should not be compounding, polishing and waxing your car.Machine buffers are best left to an expert to use.You can do serious damage to the paint if you don'thave much experience. No offense at all meant by this post, but be careful.
