Any thoughts on bug removal?

6200miles of bugs need to be removed. So far, I've only played with the mirrors because those are easy to replace when I screw up :-)
I've tried 3M Bug & Tar Remover with no success. A toothbrush and Griot's #2 polish (I can't find my bottle of #3) worked really well, but now I need to get a less aggressive polish to finish that mirror to bring back the shine. I've also tried the fingernail + clay bar combo which seems to be reasonably effective but is painfully slow.
What are some other methods I should try?

I'm a bit skeptical about the efficacy of chemical means after seeing the 3M stuff fail miserably
How much better is the boar's hair brush going to be than my toothbrush? I presume the brush will be softer?

Whatever you decide to use make sure that you wax/seal when you're done.
That way next time the bugs will wash right off. I took a 3,000 mile road trip this summer and the front of my car looked exactly like yours. Gave it a wash when I got back and every single bug washed off effortlessly in the normal wash process.

2nd the P21S Autowash...
I spray it on the front bumper, mirrors and windshield while I wash the wheels. It sits for about 15 minutes before I get around to washing those parts...which is enough to soften the bug guts a bit. It removes 90% of the residue, and I follow with a claybar to remove the rest.

I use a Porsche product specifically for bug removal....
the Stoner products are great as well and I trust them. I don't trust much else you can buy in auto parts store. Heck, I trust diluted simple green more than that (which does work very well by the way).
