Default ArmorAll uses acetic acid to make water sheet and dry spot free -> Mr. Clean is Spot Free -> ?

Probably not realted since Mr. Clean uses de-ionized water too.

Somebody wash their car with the Mr. Clean thing and tell me if it strips the wax like Dawn or is gentle and tender like P21S Paint Conditoning shampoo.

The suspense is killing me. ;-)<ul><li><a href="http://www.armorallpro.com/Products/ProductMain.asp?productid=H465&amp;productname=She eting+Agent">ArmorAll Product (MSDS link near bottom of page)</a></li></ul>

Default Interesting...

I was going to start adding household vinegar to my wash routine to help remove some water spots. Household vinegar is about 5% acetic acid...so a cup added to 3 gallons of water should be pretty harmless.

That link you referenced mentioned that the concentrate, when diluted 1:100 with water will yield a 3.2-4 pH level...that's pretty strong!

Default Back when I had a navy blue VW

and had major water spotting problems, I would add some Calgon to the rinse water. Available at grocery stores everywhere.

Another old wives trick I heard was to add some cooking oil to the wash water to make it slicker and less likely to scratch.

"Smells like salt" to me but I am not a chemist. Like I know what is in my tap water anyway. :-)
