Default You are correct. 24 hours is the standard. However, normally if I do it on Saturday morning
(takes about 30-45 minutes to do a coat of wax once you get the polish/detailing done), I don't like to take up time on my Sunday morning doing it again; rather spend the time doing other fun things. I also have to do my wife's car (you know how that is; you do yours, you have to do hers). I do take alot of Friday's off in the summer though, so often I'll do it on Friday, follow it up on Saturday, and the wife's car on Sunday.

Yeah, but it comes at a price. It is a PITA to keep a dark car clean.
