Some people don't like the 3M clay because it's very stiff, but I don't mind it. This is the best price I've seen for it. Claymagic is about $10 more for the same amount.

3M Perfect-It clay at handsontools.com

Good news, bad news.....(and Griot's is just as bad....)
The good news is that price on the 3M clay, posted above. The bad news is that handsontools.com wants $6.81 for shipping and handling a single container of it! I sent them an email complaning about it, since that's about 34% of the product's cost. Almost 7 bucks to ship a lousy 200 gram jar of cleaner clay? Waiting to see if they respond.
Addendum: Griot's wants $6.95 to ship their 8 oz. clay bar (about the same size as the 3M bar). Is it just me, or does this seem like a crazy amount of money to spend for shipping on one clay bar?? Trouble is, I can't seem to find clay bars locally, except those sold as part of a "kit". I don't want to buy the detailing spray with the bar. But I may have to, just to avoid paying these crazy shipping prices.

Costs a little over $8 to ship four, but I don't want $80 worth of clay bars either.
I understand the point about minimum shipping charge, but when the minimum is more than 1/3 of the product cost there's simply no point in ordering. I don't want to buy 2, 3, or 4 times the product I really need just to "save" on shipping costs. These "shipping and handling" charges are sources of profit for many catalog and online sellers, so I usually just factor them in as part of my overall cost, but when someone asks me to pay about $7 to ship a $20 product I can't help but stop and think about it.

It was autodetail's prices that sent me looking for something cheaper.
Autodetail gets $28.95 for a 200 gram bar of Claymagic (vs. $20.20 for the same size 3M bar at handsontool.com), plus $8.12 to ship it, for a total of $37.07 for one 200g bar. Claymagic may be great stuff, but we're talking about overspray clay here, not caviar. There's gotta be a better way.

I recently bought the Clay Magic bar from their website (clay-magic.com)
$20 kit with 100g bar + their wax (which I'll never use, well, maybe on my wheels or door sills or something like that) + their clay lube + a storage container for the clay. I think shipping was around $5 (packing slip is at home).
